A buzzing sound, coming from Caroline’s pedestal cupboard woke her up and she opened her eyes. She took her phone and opened it. She had received a message from an unknown person.
“I know what you are and we will destroy you” she read aloud. She swung her legs off the bed and searched for her ring. When she had found it she put it on and walked to the window. She shoved the curtain and stared outside.

“For me the nail in the coffin for SE was last episode. Stefan used one of the WORST moments in Elena's life AGAINST her...just to GAIN the UPPER HAND on Klaus. I'm not even going to get into what he did and how I feel about it or even compare it to what Damon did in 2x20. But I get why he tried to do it(he DIDN’T HAVE TO do it, he could have RETURNED home at the end of 3x09 and not plot his REVENGE against Klaus, keeping everyone SAVE IN THE FIRST PLACE. Elena Gilbert bares as a striking resemblance to Katherine and that was the initial reason Damon and Stefan Salvatore were so drawn to her.
Damon revealed that she died when soldiers set fire on civilians in a church in 1864. Which was briefly mentioned during Elena and Stefan's History class. It was revealed that Katherine was a vampire during her stay with the Salvatores and was the one who changed Stefan and Damon.

I’m reading Antonia’s anons, and I realized that some people don’t realize how spectacularly Stefan SCREWED UP during Elena’s transition… Stefan was her boyfriend, Elena was completely lost, she didn’t know what to do, it was his fucking duty to take care of her!

1. Stefan convinced Elena to hold on to stupid, irrational hope in 4x01 which almost leaded to Elena’s death.
